Seed Hub

We are ambitious about what’s possible for North East seed saving. Starting small, we are building the foundations for a regional seed hub.

Our climate is changing and we need our seeds, and growing communities, to develop resilience. A place-based, community approach will advance the grow-to-save efforts needed to develop the project.

Once established, the Seed Hub will make good quality, locally saved seeds widely available to community growers through an accessible membership.

Thanks to funding from Hadrian Trust and Newcastle Council in 2025, and National Lottery in 2026.
