Building on the success of the first event, Seed Social returned to Whitley Bay in 2024. What was ‘Big Local’ was now the refurbished and rather gorgeous ‘Whitley Bay Hub’, complete with community cafe. Whitley Bay Hub generously sponsored the event, along with Luke Arend Garden Design.

We were keen to offer more at this event so as well as increasing the volume and variety on offer, we also invited guests to join us! Northumberland Wildlife Trust and National Allotment Society both set up their stalls. Harry ‘Carlin Pea’ James returned as our guest of honour!

We were genuinely bowled over with the popularity and atmosphere of the event and so grateful to the wonderful people of Whitley Bay and beyond for making it what it is.
